Primary Purpose

What your role contributes to Scripps
  • The Traffic Assistant is responsible for entering and maintaining the daily ad logs into the Wide Orbit system.

Key Activities

The primary processes you conduct in your role
  • Enter national/local copy instructions and materials into Wide Orbit.
  • Responsible for working daily log to maximize inventory and revenue.
  • Schedule day-to-day programming
  • Update and maintain daily dub and weekly purge lists.
  • Perform quality control checks
  • Maintain commercial library.
  • Maintain daily log.
  • Work with Sales personnel on a daily basis to ensure the most accurate and complete instructions are entered and to inform them of any last-minute opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with Wide Orbit traffic system preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented and have a successful past working in a team environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

ADA Requirements
  • Manual dexterity

Associate Support
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Entry level support role requiring basic skills; can perform some of the basic tasks within the function.
  • Performs simple, routine work.
  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction.
  • Seeks advice and guidance on nonroutine or problem areas from supervisor. Any deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment.
  • Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.
  • Assignments require minimal knowledge beyond the assigned work. Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work.
